Daytime showcases schedule has been announced

From December 6th to 10th, SIM – São Paulo International Music Week gather representatives of the national and international music market at the Centro Cultural São Paulo and also hosts all the daytime programming of the music convention, such as debates, workshops and business rounds. In addition to the agenda addressed to music professionals, on December 7, 8 and 9, between 3pm and 8:30 p.m., the Adoniran Barbosa Room – located next to the pro-area – hosts a series of showcases (20-minute presentations) free entrance and open to the general public, giving the room the atmosphere of a music festival.

Each year, the demand for a spot in the daytime showcases is higher. For the 2017 edition, SIM São Paulo received 1215 applies from artists and bands. Of these, 1150 names were national, from all over the country, and 65 names from 17 different countries. Linn da Quebrada, Tim Bernardes, Molho Negro, Tiê, Veja Luz and Giovani Cidreira are some of the selected. The 27 names that will perform in this edition were chosen by the music fair advisory board. For the second year in a row, SIM São Paulo has placed as obligatory requirement to have at least 50% of women in all programming. Check out the selected ones and the schedule below:
