Let's start the party!

Each year, the evening program of the São Paulo Music becomes more sought-after. While business and conferencing activities take place at the Centro Cultural São Paulo, the performances , parties and cocktail receptions are spread in various concert venues throughout town between Decem6th and 10th. In this edition SIM São Paulo will see more than 130 performances being held in 20 extra venues.

Bands and artists from various parts of Brazil and countries around the world – including Canada, France, Australia, Portugal, Chile and the UK – will be featured. The evening events are organized by the music market itself. They are proposals made by producers, agencies, brands, festivals, musicians or delegate commisions from all five regions and three continents.

Noite Afromineiras @ Jongo Reverendo
This evening includes performances by four female singers from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, who have recently launched an album. They have original material in which they use the Minas drum and explore the Afro-Brazilian rhythms of the (a religious denomination in the state of Minas Gerais) . The singer are: Beatriz Rodarte (LP Tamborana), Josi Lopes (EP Essência), Maíra Baldaia (LP POENTE and outras paisagens) and  Raquel Coutinho (album Mineral).

The Raulis - Tiago Calazans

Hot Heat evening – Pernambucanos and associates!
@ Centro Cultural Zapata
The famous hip and groin sway will be at home in this evening. A wild mix from the Brazilian city of Recife will bring to São Paulo the surf cumbia of the band The Raulis, with featured guests Gustavo da Lua (Nação Zumbi) and Tibério Azul. DV Vinícius Lezos will set the record straight, remotely from the Olinda Alps.

Breeeeze evening @ CityLights Hostel
The objective is to bring some of the atmosphere of the Wind Festival of São Sebastião, on the Northern coast of São Paulo. At the age of just 13, DJ Téiu has been drawing attention in the Raba de Galo parties with his hip hop and funk sets. The collective Tag Sound System, composed of three female friends exploring Brazilian sounds such as carimbó and xaxado, is another attraction. The rapper Acauã represents the indigenous Caiçaca ethnicity, while Venga Venga hypnotizes audiences by deep diving into African beats, tropic, music from the Balkans with psychedelic Turkish twist, kuduro, Indian and Japanese rhythms and electronic beats.

Ramalhete Evening @ Z Carniceria
Ramalhete Productions propose an event focused solely on original content created by women with a different streak, background and style. Straight from the Northeastern city of Juazeiro, Josyara delivers with her voice sound transiting across various regions of Brazil, particularly the dry Hinterlands of the Northeast. The vocal group Bolerinho – composed of Luísa Toller (vocala and piano), Maria Beraldo Bastos (vocals, clarinet and tambourine) and Marina Beraldo (vocals and flute) – the Brazilian folk repertoire. The singer Soledad will perform songs from her eponymous debut album (2017), while Marcelle will deliver the album Equivocada (2017)

Rosa Flamingo Evening @ Breve[Text Wrapping Break]
Tiê’s label/production comanda will be in charge of this evening, with artists from her very own casting portfolio. The following musicians will be on stage: the signer LaBaq with the repertory of the album • v o a • (2016), the duo FingerFingerrr ( who has toured the most important music fests and expos around the world this year, including SXSW and Primavera Sound), the singer and composer André Whoong (he’ll showcase tracks from the album 1985 (2015) and Justo Agora (2106)and Tiê herself.

Purple Party @ Associação Cultural Cecília
The evening organized by Purple Productions champions and promotes diversity in the current independent Brazilian rap scene. The objective of this event is to showcase the versatility within the music genre. There will be artists blending rap with sounds and instruments from other music styles. The programme includes rappers Blackout, Max B.O., Danna Lisboa and Acauã. There will be a live beat session with Malak Beatz, heMeePe and Dehriow, from De Lírio Records.
