Mastercard presents closing event of SIM São Paulo 2019

On December 8th, the attractions perform at Praça da Luz, in São Paulo, for 9 thousand people; the event is free and open to the public

On the course of its seventh edition, from December 4th to 8th, São Paulo's International Week will be responsible for spreading over 400 performances through music venues of São Paulo's capital. Not to mention countless panels, meetings and activities turned to the music market that will take place at Centro Cultural São Paulo. All this program will culminate in a closing celebration, on December 8th, from 3:00pm, at Praça da Estação Luz, the city's downtown region. Presented by Mastercard, the event will be marked by a partnership between São Paulo's International Music Week, Secretaria Municipal de Cultura de São Paulo (São Paulo's Municipal Culture Secretary) and Laboratório Fantasma (label, studio, artist management and clothing line ruled by Fióti and his brother, Emicida), that will have two of its artists on the line-up: Emicida and Drik Barbosa. The portugues trio Throes + The Shine completes the program.

Emicida put on the streets one of the most complimented and comented works of the year. In AmarElo (October of 2019), the rapper from São Paulo praises the simple things in life and the greatness of humanity, besides connecting people by what they have in common, using love as a bridge. The audience can expect by the title-track, "Eminência Parda", "Libre", and other music from Emicida's repertoire.

Drik Barbosa goes on stage to show ther homonym album, that was realeased in October of this year. With a urban, afro-brazilian and contemporary sound, she sounds pretty pop without letting the reverence to rap aside, bringing the genre in which she was highlighted into her new path. Songs like “Quem Tem Joga”, “Liberdade” and “Tentação” appear in her setlist.

Formed by Marco Castro (guitar, keyboards and synths/Portugal), Igor Domingues (drums/Portugal), Mob Dedaldino (voice/Angola), the portuguese trio Throes + The Shine makes its debut on Brazil. On the road since 2012, the group called out attention for its mixture of rock with kuduro. You can notice, however, that their fourth album, Enza (2019), amplifies the musical references, brinking rock, cumbia, R&B, rap, among other inspirations that'll please the present audience.
