On PWR Records Night, 4 acts come together at Heavy House to celebrate female power in its many forms.
GALI (SP), created by Camila Garófalo, uses the guitar from the countryside, the Paraguayan polka and the Argentine chacarera to sing about lesbianism and feminism. Despite the themes in common with Gali, the music of BEL (RJ) comes to us through electronic beats, jazz and MPB. Also based in Rio de Janeiro, the duo Troá moves from trip-hop to blues re-signifying the statement "a woman's place is in the kitchen" while keeping bass and drums always in a prominent position in their songs. Lumanzin (SP) joins electronic music with percussions and a powerful vocal performance to talk about healing, self-awareness and our life and death cycle.
