Chernobyl is a collective that began as an experiment to resignify everything that was pejorative in the people who produce it to be a form of resistance. Our experimental movement, beyond a party, is based precisely on re-meaning the name Chernobyl by showing the power, which pejoratively called dissident bodies have over society. Creating support networks, security, self-esteem, representativeness, joining forces among others, self-management and disseminating knowledge by transforming what would be abnormal and possibly a normal source.
In this movement, we were able to foster independent artists, building spaces that are often denied with those who participate, using tools such as sound and visual arts to occupy and build spaces, giving voice and power to these political bodies.
From this, we always look for trans, black, queer, lesbian people to make up our work team, fostering financial and psychological support among ourselves.
The focus of the collective is to praise and break paradigms that society has with Brazilian music from the periphery, such as funk, dancehall, tecnobrega, vogue, hip hop, national rap, among other forms of electronic music, thinking of a hormonal and electrodynamic future.
